About Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia

Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia (JJOZ) have specialised in working station programs and horse rides for travellers and Aussies since 1994. Our guests can choose to Be an Aussie Cowboy Cowgirl on a Jackaroo Jillaroo School or for experienced riders we also have Natural Horsemanship courses.

On all our programs we guarantee New Rider: No Worries. Beginner riders are looked after. We know that confidence is gained, fear forgotten and development fast when you are having fun on healthy happy horses and experts show you how. We have educated horses too for advanced riders and so all abilities are catered for. Don't like horses? We don't either : We love them!

Traditionally Jackaroos & Jillaroos or Jackeroo & Jilleroo if you like are trainee stockman and women. Old hands will tell you that no farming career in Australia is complete without a stint as a Jackaroo or Jillaroo. There's simply nothing to compare with a start in the "school of hard knocks" and the hands on training that a Jackaroo or Jillaroo apprenticeship offers. Jackaroos and Jillaroos mix the practical with the class room and often go on to become top class managers in their chosen agricultural fields.

Our packages are set up with various horseriding & working station experiences available around the country. We don't pretend that if you do one of our courses that in a week you'll become a fully fledged Jackaroo or Jillaroo and you shouldn't either. But why not live the life for a while or even get a leg up into it as a possible career? We're a friendly bunch out here and we're sure you'll enjoy an authentic experience, encounter great Aussie characters, eat and sleep well and develop a meaningful insight into our rich rural lifestyle.
