Terms & Conditions Booking & Reservation 1. All tours & programs are open for early booking. Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia recommends participants should book programs at least 2 weeks prior to departure date. 2. Each participant is required to pay in full to secure the booking. Reservations will be pre-assigned after payment is made based on a first come first served basis. 3. Participants are required to make reservations via the Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia online booking system. 4. Participants are required to register and provide name, phone number, email address and specify designated tour and date of travel 5. Acknowledgement of the terms & conditions of participation are made at time of booking 6. Job Board Login is issued at time of booking 7. Tickets are issued to participants automatically via Jackaroo Jillaroo on line reservation system at the time of booking 2. Participants booking travel will be sent travel documentation by email on Tuesday in the week prior to travel 3. If travel documentation is mislaid check junk box & settings. 4. Changes to travel OK but may incur a service charge. 5. Return and onward travel is confirmed at time of booking as detailed in travel itinerary 6. One change to travel itinerary is permitted at no charge provided change is completed 48 hrs prior to original travel date 7. A $30 re-booking fee will apply to each additional change to travel itineraries 8. Changes to bookings can only be made where the booking originated with Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia 9. Tickets may be open dated or a gift voucher. Please give 10 days notice to reconfirm these bookings 10. Lost or damaged travel documents must be reissued prior to departure. A re-issuing fee of $45 will be charged to passengers unable to produce travel documentation at commencement time. 11. Discounts for shortened tours or programs may only be approved at time of booking 12. Tickets are transferable. A $45 re-issuing fee is payable. 13. Participants may postpone participation with Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia prior to commencement at no cost provided that all alterations to travel arrangements are completed by 12.00pm on the Thursday prior to the booked commencement date. 14. All participants must present voucher, tickets or confirmation number from on-line booking for participation and agent voucher if appropriate 2. Jackaroo Jillaroo schools, programs & tours cannot be commenced without travel documentation supporting proof of ticket purchase 3. Commencement time and location will be advised at the time the reservation is made. Itinerary Participants should examine itinerary at the time of booking to satisfy themselves of inclusions. Courses purchased as stand alone products do not include transport to & from town centres, pre & post accommodation and meals. Jackaroo Jillaroo packages include transport, accommodation before and after the course and Jackaroo Jillaroo course incl. all activities. It is recommended that individual travel arrangements be made at time of booking to guarantee availability & avoid disappointment. Program Content Participants agree to individual Jackaroo Jillaroo school, program or tour content at the time of booking. Jackaroo Jillaroo programs contain both “core” and “non-core” elements. It is the responsibility of participants to make themselves familiar with individual school, program & tour content at the time of booking. Core Content is activities, tuition, exercises, demonstrations, meals & accommodation that are included in the itinerary. Non-Core Content is activities, tuition, exercises, demonstrations, meals & accommodation that may be included during a program. Non-Core Content alternatives may be A)“Work in Progress”, B)“Seasonality & Weather” & C) “Free Time” A) Work in Progress is considered to be 1. Activities, tuition, exercises & demonstrations that cannot be delivered with certainty due to the nature of a working sheep & cattle station or 2.are irregular opportunities that expose participants to culture, lifestyle or various farm work and/or 3.are outside of the Core Content. The participant acknowledges that he/she has familiarised themselves with examples of “Work In Progress” on the website www.jjoz.com.au. We guarantee that we will include participants wherever possible in these daily station activities that are not generally accessible to visitors to regional areas. It is the customers choice to enjoy the program through participation or observation and they acknowledge that the program may change without notice depending upon the day-to-day operations of the stations. This is a highlight of our offer to participants and they confirm their acceptance of this feature by undertaking to book our schools, programs & tours. B) Seasonality & Weather Seasonality is summer, autumn, winter and spring. Cyclical seasonal conditions i.e. winter incl. shorter hours, cold mornings & summer incl. longer hours, hot days and afternoons. Programs offered throughout the year may be affected by seasonality as well as extreme weather conditions i.e. wet, cold, dry and hot As a consequence of Seasonality & Weather alternative activities may be scheduled to replace core & non-core elements. As a consequence of Seasonality & Weather Program Flexibility & Rescheduling may also be required (refer Program Flexibility & Rescheduling) C) Free TimeFree Time is a non-core activity and is offered to guests for their personal relaxation. Whilst free time is generally unguided/unsupervised; alternative activities are generally on offer to guests. Program Flexibility & Rescheduling To ensure Core Content is delivered; flexibility & rescheduling of the program from time to time may be required. Rescheduling is both a response to and caused by (i) “Work in Progress”, (ii) Seasonality & Weather, (iii) Group Sizes e.g. Groups greater than twelve may need to be split into two, (iv) Group Profiles incl. age, gender, physical condition, physical conformation, cultural background Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia & its operators shall actively manage day to day events, monitor conditions and through a comprehensive understanding of our working stations & communities provide flexibility to programs to ensure current activities are included as a highlight of the participant’s school, program or tour. Responsibilities & Conditions of Participation 1. Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia acts only as an agent. 2. Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia reserves the right to alter the itinerary, substitute accommodation, arrange alternative carriers to those advertised, withdraw any school, program or tour and make any desirable alteration for the convenience of the operation of any school, program or tour 3. A minimum number of passengers may be required to run schools, programs or tours. It may therefore be necessary to cancel, reschedule, offer alternatives or offer a refund for schools, programs or tours unable to be commenced. (refer refund policy) 4. Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia reserves the right to cancel the school, program or tour prior to commencement for whatever reason. By accepting our tour policy participants agree that Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia shall hold no responsibilities in itinerary alterations, delays or cancellation strikes, theft, loss & damage to personal belongings or luggage, accidents, weather or any other causes. 5. Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia cannot guarantee departure and arrival times and will not be responsible for passengers failure to connect with other services. 6. Participants are permitted one piece of luggage plus a small piece of carry on luggage per person 7. The consumption of alcohol or smoking is not permitted on transport services conducted by Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia 8. Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia reserves the right to decline or decline to accept or retain any participant for any reason before or during the school program or tour 9. Unacceptable treatment of horses and animals contrary to tour guides instruction and reasonable requests may result in a participant forfeiting his/her right to take any further part in the tour. 10. Prices of Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia product are subject to annual review. Participants are responsible for confirming individual product prices at the time of booking 11. All schools, programs & tours are subject to change as a feature of our tours (see program content) 12. Participants must be self-reliant, a friend or relative must accompany those who require assistance. We are not able to provide individual assistance for any participant 13. Country cooked meals are provided daily. Food is sourced locally where possible. Vegetarian meals are available upon request at the time of booking 14. A general level of fitness is required for the participation and enjoyment of our tours. 15. All riding abilities are provided for from novice to advanced. Participants are matched to horses suiting their ability level and experience 16. Participants are responsible to report any special requirements to Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia at the time of booking or health conditions that may require emergency medical assistance during the program 17. Our schools, programs and tours unless arranged for groups of students, are for the enjoyment of adult participants i.e. eighteen years and over (18+). 18. There are exceptions to this policy in the case of experienced teenagers and it is expected that these participants will be accompanied by an adult. 19. The places depicted on Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia websites and brochures are representative of the country, people and places programs take place. No responsibility is accepted for inaccuracies as a consequence of images and editors copy used to convey tour information 20. Participants are responsible for the cost of returning of lost property. Payment for charges incurred will be required prior to items being redirected. Travel Insurance & Indemnification All participants agree to indemnify Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia, its operators & host farms, regional saleyards and campdraft, rodeo and other event organisers against any accidents, loss or liability that they may incur on or during the tour or through use of its Job Board. It is strongly recommended that participants obtain travel insurance. Operator Waiver Participants are required to sign a waiver form issued by the individual Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia operator prior to commencement of the tour or program. By signing the waiver participants acknowledge that horseriding and farm-based activities are inherently dangerous activities, that they have been briefed by the operator’s staff and will use safety gear provided, that they will listen to the operator’s staff and obey their risk management policies. Transfers & Transits to Jackaroo Jillaroo properties and return, vary from operation to operation. Please check all details at the time of booking. Charges apply in individual circumstances. Additional transfers require a $50 transfer fee. Eg Joining a tour after the commencement or prior to the conclusion of a program. Please consult Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia website for details of inclusions. Booking of transfers and transport generally requires a minimum of 48hrs notice. Accommodation Accommodation in town centres prior to and preceding tours & programs may not be included in tour packages. Additional charges may apply. Participants are responsible for ensuring that accommodation before and after their course has been pre-booked if not purchased in travel itinerary. Job Board 1. Job Board is only available to registered Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia participants. 2. Participants must finalise reservation and payment before receiving a Login and Password to the system. 3. Job Board is a search tool linking participants with employers and farm hosts on stations/ ranches & farms in regional Australia. 4. Job Board is not a guarantee of work. 5. Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia is not a recruitment company or employment agency 6. Job Board is an included optional extra service. Participants are under no obligation to use the Job Board tool 7. Employment or volunteering positions entered into between participants and employer/ farm hosts are the responsibility of individual parties 8. Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia cannot guarantee the authenticity of users of its Job Board 9. Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia encourages best practices by users of its Job Board but does not guarantee employment terms & conditions or that occupational health and safety standards of individual employers/ farm hosts meet federal and state statuatory requirements. 10. Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia recommends that participants make their own investigations with employers / farm hosts prior to accepting paid or volunteering positions. 11. Participants accept all responsibilities for use of the Job Board. Cancellation & Refund Policy 1. Cancellation of all bookings shall incur a service fee. The fee structure shall operate as: 2.less than 4 days = no refund, 4 days to 2 weeks = 25% of invoiced amount 3.greater than 2 weeks = 10%. 4.Participants must present ticket(s) at time of refund 5. All refunds will be issued by Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia company cheque or internet transfer only to an address advised by the customer. There will be no cash refunds. Bank charges may apply 6. Operators shall not be responsible for issuing refunds 7. Where Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia exerts it’s right to cancel a departure due to not meeting minimum tour number requirements liability to such cancellation is limited to full refund of money received by Jackaroo Jillaroo Australia and this will constitute full settlement. 8. Where Jackaroo Jillaroo exerts it right to alter any route and/or itinerary, substitute accommodation, arrange alternative carriers to those advertised, withdraw any school, program or tour and make any desirable alteration for the convenience of the operation of any school, program or tour no refunds will be given in such circumstance or in the event of any rescheduling or re direction of any travel service resulting from any cause including weather conditions or mechanical. 9. In the event of wet weather affecting more than one days horse riding we will refund 10% OFF the face value of advertised price (provided that the full retail price was paid initially) or credit in kind to the same value. We take no further responsibility for wet weather impacting upon the program nor will we offer further refunds but endeavour to arrange alternative activities. 9. We provide wet weather equipment so you can enjoy horse rides and 4WD in most conditions. However, we reserve the right to cancel any activity where we feel animals. vehicles, staff and guests may be at risk of injury or accident 10.Once the program has commenced participants agree to our refunds policy as above.
